The Yosemite Falls itinerary is a CampCrate favorite.  The views overlooking Half Dome and Yosemite Valley are phenomenal.  The campsites are remote and the hike is as equally challenging as it is rewarding.

The full experience is 4 nights, but the trip can be shortened to 3 nights for groups trekking it over a weekend.  The first and final nights are spent in Yosemite Valley and the other two are spent in Yosemite's remote wilderness.

A detailed itinerary is provided after your order is placed.  The itinerary includes instructions, directions, and google map links on where to go.  This trip is entirely self-guided.  You will not be joining any other groups.

Recommended Add-Ons

Day 1
Arrive in Yosemite any time throughout the day. The required hiking does not begin until day two. The earlier you arrive at the park, the more time you will have for hiking optional trails and stopping at the various vistas. For late arrivals, arriving before nightfall will make it much easier to locate camp, but there is no required arrival time. Camp this night is in Yosemite Valley at Backpacker's Camp.
Day 2
The first day of your trek! Begin hiking late morning on the Yosemite Falls trail. The route this day is 4.1 miles and mostly uphill. The trail wraps around the cliff and up the gulley beside Yosemite's tallest waterfall, Yosemite Falls. Hike out to the very edge and watch the water pour over into the valley below. This night, you'll camp in a remote location along the trail near Yosemite Creek or Eagle Peak Meadow. Those looking to add extra mileage can hike to Eagle Peak from camp.
Day 3
Traverse Yosemite's northern rim from Yosemite Falls to Porcupine Creek. The trail meanders along the cliffside and deep into pine forests. You'll pass Yosemite Point, North Dome, Indian Arch, and catch unique, close-up views of Half Dome along the trail. Camp this night is remote and located north of Indian Arch along Porcupine Creek.
Day 4
The final day is a total of 8.2 miles. The trail winds down Snow Creek to Mirror Lake in Yosemite Valley. Follow the bike trails to return to your vehicle. Most groups finish this day in 4-7 hours, meaning early risers can return to Yosemite Valley around noon. Camp again this night at Backpacker's Camp in Yosemite Valley or continue your travels. A fifth day is optional but provides additional time for extra sightseeing or hiking.
